You might be interested to know about some of these things before you book your ticket to the country. The following are some of the best things you can partake in when you are in Georgia as a tourist.

Visit Kazbegi

Kazbegi is without a doubt a must-visit destination if you end up visiting Georgia either alone or with your friends and family. The place is located high up in the stunning Caucasus mountains and provides some breathtaking scenery countrywide.  If you are fond of nature, you should definitely take a trip to Kazbegi just to soak up the scenery and take some cool pictures with our camera!

Kazbegi also offers incredible hiking and the place has been named after the biggest mountain that is called Mount Kazbeg. You will find a number of walking trails that you can easily access and get some fresh air while you hike. If you have an adventurous bone in your body, you can try horseback riding at Kazbegi which is immensely fun especially if you have friends along with you!

Explore Vardzia

Another entertaining thing you can do in Georgia is exploring Vardzia. This happens to be a big cave monastery town located in southern Georgia that was built in the 2nd half of the twelfth century during the age of Rustaveli and Tamar. The monastery is visited by many tourists every day and is a greatly admired destination!

It is around 500 m long and nineteen tiers high. It holds more than four hundred rooms including 25 wine cellars, 12 chapels, a bakery, a church, and several other interesting things that you can check out. Although you might be tired of walking around, it is certainly worth it and then some! Just make sure you get a good night’s rest the day before you visit Vardzia in Georgia!

Take Cable Car to Narikala Fortress

Taking a cable ride to the Narikala fortress is a very popular activity you can engage in Georgia. As you take the cable ride, you can soak up the stunning panoramic views of the surrounding city before you get to the remarkable Georgian National Museum. The best part about this cable ride is that it is insanely cheap and only costs 0.6 dollars. Hence, if you are a tourist in Georgia and on a budget, taking this cable ride is an ideal thing that you can do without breaking your bank!

The Narikala fortress is a great sight of beauty as well and is place that you will have a lot of fun exploring with your friends! You can easily make a day’s trip out of it!
