Tourists from America who have been visiting Croatia have revealed that they tend to spend more money in the country as compared to any average visitor.

Consequently, they tend to spend more than twice the usual amount and average around €300 per traveler each day.

As per a recent report published by Poslovni Dnevnik, the concerned travelers tend to focus more on high-quality experiences.

Thus, visitors from the US are more than willing to pay the premium prices that come with top-notch experiences.

The allure of Croatia resonates especially well with the demographic identified and has, hence, become one of their top destinations to visit from time to time.

These travelers tend to prefer quality and make significant economic contributions to Croatia, which makes them highly sought-after guests in the travel and tourism industry of the country.

According to Leila Kresic-Juric, the director of the representative office of the Croatian National Tourist Board, located in the US, Croatia is well-positioned for American tourists.

In her words, the country has a lot of amenities and experiences that people from the US are searching for, such as tradition, good views, history, as well as personalized experienced.

She further pointed out that travelers from America tend to prefer safety in case of multi-generational trips. Thus, the director added, Croatia serves these people well.

Recently, New York hosted a fair that included a total of 500 exhibitors from over 170 countries across the globe.

At the event, the Croatian National Tourist Board seemed to be a hit as it turned out to be one of the most prominent and visible exhibitors.

Furthermore, its exhibit was one of the few that was readily frequented by various attendees from different locations.

The display was vibrant and featured a wide range of agencies from Croatia, as well as hotels and the many destinations in the country that are worth boasting about.

However, it was clear that the majority of the attendees were most attracted to the splendid city of Dubrovnik, which captured the attention and admiration of primarily Americans.

On this note, Sanja Cikato, a tour guide, provided his own insights into the vacations of American tourists when they visit Croatia.

He pointed out that they are enamored by the charm and simplicity of the country, and are especially enthralled by Dubrovnik.

Cikato took to highlighting that American visitors have a profound fascination with the rich and historical contributions of Croatia.

He stated that they are especially captivated by the existence of an old, fourteenth-century pharmacy in Croatia.

Furthermore, the tour guide added that Americans enjoy learning about the quarantine practices that the country pioneered, as well as the abolishment of slavery back in 1416.

Consequently, previous figures have revealed that the American market is one of the largest contributors to tourism in Croatia.

In recent years, there has been a surge in overnight stays and arrivals, especially after the lifting of pandemic restrictions.

In the year 2023, the country recorded no less than 645,000 arrivals, as well as 1.8 million overnight stays by travelers from the US.
