Bulgaria has announced that it will soon be launching a campaign to market the various tourist destinations that it houses.

One of the ways that the relevant authorities have suggested is to use bloggers, famous people, vloggers, film crews, journalists, as well as experts from different target markets.

With these content creators, the authorities will then aid in the coordination and execution of various activities, which include thematic tours.

Promoting tourism

The Ministry of Tourism released a statement just recently in which it revealed that these steps are a crucial part of the Annual Program for National Tourism Advertising.

As part of this campaign, Bulgaria will mainly focus on the promotions of different destinations across the country.

For this purpose, the relevant authorities will use various marketing tools in their arsenal, and one of those is bringing in content creators.

The new campaign

With the inclusion of bloggers, celebrities, vloggers, camera crews, journalists, as well as expedients from prospective and target markets, the government of Bulgaria hopes to reach people across the globe.

Through these content creators, the authorities want to share attractions, tourism opportunities, and tourism resources with their followers and customers.

Consequently, the marketing experts for this campaign believe that the attractiveness and origin of messages and information can influence a large number of people.

It also has a massive impact on the probability of users or followers embracing these just to emulate the same lifestyle.

The Ministry of Tourism further explains that public procurement will be conducted with the entire territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

In addition, the budget allocated for various campaigns, as well as public procurement, currently stands at 1,000,000.00 BGN. This figure does not include VAT, which would otherwise amount to 1,200,000 BGN.

It has further been revealed that the budget approved by the Ministry of Tourism will cover funding that is awarded based on a specific criterion.

The criterion set for public procurement will simply be to pick the offer that provides the most economical advantages.

As a result, the offer chosen will have the lowest price, as per the awarding standard.

Requirements

The Ministry went on to provide further details regarding the requirements that need to be fulfilled as part of public procurement.

These include detailed itineraries, contracts, logistics, reasoning behind proposals and the selection of participants, tourist guides, and management of the communication material and the campaign.

Additionally, it also pertained to the results of monitoring and the preparation of PR, as well as other informative material.

Moreover, back in September of 2022, the Bulgarian Tourism Ministry, when it was under the leadership of the interim Minister, Ilin Dimitrov, took similar steps.

It invited various influencers, vloggers, journalists, and bloggers, from Europe to visit the country and speak about its various attractions.

Back then, Dimitrov had said that his objective had been to ensure that these people would have a direct experience with the peaceful atmosphere and natural beauty of the country.

He believed that the military actions in Ukraine of the Bulgarian government had hampered the public view, which could be rectified by people speaking or writing about their positive experiences.
