The flag carrier of Switzerland, Swiss International Air Lines or SWISS, has announced that it is currently working on an expansion.
Consequently, it is making preparations to include new routes into its short-haul network for the upcoming summer schedules of 2024.
The notable addition made to the existing plans is the inclusion of summer flights that connect Bremen and Zurich.
As a result, the existing winter service will be able to include North German cities into its fold.
Expansion
Moreover, Oslo is soon going to be a part of the Geneva-based network of SWISS.
This will be made possible by the launch of summer services on the established Geneva-Stockholm and Geneva-Copenhagen routes.
The Chief Commercial Officer of SWISS, Goudarzi Pour, took to revealing this plan, saying that it is thrilled to be including new European destinations into its fold.
As a result, it expressed pride in the fact that it will be further facilitating the ease of its customers with a broader range of air travel options.
Consequently, this expansion underscores the dedication of SWISS to deliver high-end services to its customers and offer extensive travel choices.
As per local media, Bremen decided to open doors to the people of Zurich in light of rising demand and, thus, included it in the winter schedule.
In line with this, the location will also be included in the summer schedule, which will allow Bremen to showcase its old town, cultural scene, vibrant arts, and various landmarks, such as the Statue of Roland.
Short-haul network
Kosice and Cluj-Napoca will also be included in the short-haul network of SWISS in the upcoming summer.
In addition, the airline is planning on increasing its frequencies for various lines that connect Zurich to several destinations in Europe. These include Madrid, Venice, Vilnius, Alicante, and Naples.
Furthermore, Oslo’s debut on the Geneva Network, run by SWISS, will mean an additional offering for tourists across the globe.
It is no secret that the region has a delightful combination of green spaces, cultural attractions, and contemporary architecture.
One of the most popular attractions in the area is the renowned Opera House, which is loved by visitors.
Along with the rest of its expansion, the airline is set to enhance its summer services and bring Copenhagen into the fold.
This city in Denmark is popular for its mix of historic charm and modern Scandinavian design.
Stockholm is also going to be added to the short-haul list, which is well-known for its picturesque setting across 14 islands.
The city is adorned with numerous palaces that have been carefully preserved and the historic lanes of the old town.
Passengers
People flying on SWISS flights in the summer of 2024 are likely to experience increased frequencies between Geneva and several established destinations.
These include Brindisi, Catania, Palma, Brussels, Athens, Valencia, and Malaga.
Through this expansion, travelers will have access to a wide range of choices to reap the rewards of the commitment of SWISS to provide exceptional service and a multitude of travel options.
