Various member states of the European Union have forecasted terribly cold weather in the upcoming days.

Countries such as Ukraine and Moldova have recently undergone bouts of heavy rainfall, which has left destruction in its wake. As a result, people and property have sustained serious damage.

Meanwhile, Bulgaria has taken to announce a state of emergency, with storms leaving over 1,000 villages without any electricity.

Warnings

In the previous week, Met Eirann, the meteorological service in Ireland, issued a Status Yellow warning, which is for low temperatures and ice.

It revealed that this warning was not limited to a specific region of the country but rather the entire nation as a whole.

The organization further disclosed that temperatures were likely to fall between zero to minus four degrees and leave behind sharp icy patches and frost.

Several areas throughout Ireland are also expected to experience heavy fog and mist due to extremely low temperatures.

The relevant authority forecasted that the weather during this week will also have bouts of windiness and wetness.

This will go on to spread throughout the east and south of the country during the day, causing increased chances of scattered falls of sleet.

Met Eirann added that temperatures in the north are going to be the lowest, with the southern areas expecting comparatively milder weather.

Advice

Tourists who will be visiting the continent in the upcoming weeks have been warned to pack heavy bags and be fully prepared to experience a winter holiday.

The risk of catching a cold has been made very prominent, with visitors advised to bundle themselves up while having fun.

As per a weather analysis website, the winter season this year will unfold in a different manner every month.

However, the eastern United States and the European continent have been forecasted to experience some of the lowest temperatures.

December is believed to bring about snowfall, which will ring true for a number of parts throughout the continent.

The regions predicted to receive substantial rainfall are Denmark, Norway, Netherlands, France, Belgium, some areas in Italy, and a couple of parts of Spain.

In the upcoming days, the United States is also expected to experience snowfall. Some locations, such as parts of the Midwest, the western area across the Rockies, and the Northeast, are likely to have lower temperatures than most.

The future

However, experts believe that the extreme weather in the first few days of December will not set the tone for the rest of the month.

The UK, Germany, and France are likely to experience above-average temperatures, which will not be too cold.

Meanwhile, northern Scotland and several Scandinavian countries are likely to experience extremely cold weather.

On the other hand, Turkiye, the Balkans, and Spain have been predicted to suffer higher temperatures, which will be even warmer than normal.

Due to the uncertain and varying weather conditions, tourists have been advised to proceed with caution.

Irrespective of where they are visiting, travelers have been advised to check forecasts beforehand and pack accordingly.
