The Turkish-owned airline, namely Corendon Airlines, has announced that it will be launching an innovative service for its passengers.

The service has been dubbed the ‘Only Adult’ zone and will be made available to people traveling between the Caribbean Island of Curacao and Amsterdam.

Corendon is soon going to become the first airline in Europe to offer this unique service to its passengers, who are aged 16 and above.

Zones

As explained by sources, as per this service, the airline will designate separate areas for all adult passengers.

Consequently, a total of 93 seats will be reserved only for people aged 16 and above.

Moreover, a fixed fee of €45 for a one-way journey has been decided for travelers looking to secure a seat in the Only Adult Zone.

On the other hand, any XL seats required by travelers in this exclusive area will be on sale for €100 for a one-way trip, thus catering to those who want extra space during their flight.

On this note, the founder of Corendon, Atilay Uslu, took to praising the efforts of the relevant departments in making this service available to passengers.

He went on to say that the airline consistently aims to meet the diverse needs of its target market.

In the words of Uslu, being the first airline to provide this service to people is a matter of great pride for Corendon Airlines.

Other benefits

The founder of the airline went on to add that through this approach, parents traveling with children also stand to benefit significantly.

He pointed out that parents will no longer have to worry about their children making noise or crying and disturbing the other passengers.

Moreover, people who tend to get disturbed by children can opt for seats in Only-Adult zones.

The Corendon group has made a name for itself by providing adult-only hotels that are located in various destinations.

These include Bodrum, Ibiza, as well as Curacao, to travelers hoping to enjoy a child-free vacation and some quiet.

Similar services

There is no doubt about the fact that Corendon Airlines is the pioneer when it comes to introducing adult-only zones.

However, various international companies have taken to offer similar services to its customers.

An example of this is Air Asia X, which offers a designated Quiet Zone, on the long-haul flights of A-30. This service is particularly available for passengers aged 12 and above.

On the same note, Scoot, a low-cost carrier based in Singapore, features a service called ScootinSilence.

As per this feature, some cabins on its 787 flights have been made accessible to people aged 12 and above.

In May of the current year, Corendon was revealed to be thinking about leasing one or two Airbus A350.

This leasing agreement would allow the airline to facilitate flights to and from Amsterdam and the Carribean Island of Curacao.

However, the airline itself has not made any comment regarding its plan of leasing or the potential expansion of its fleet via a collaboration with Airbus 350.
