Statistics for 2022 have revealed that over 3,200 visas per 100,000 inhabitants were issued in Europe.

Out of these, the most visa applications approved in 2022 were those of Kuwaiti nationals, with a visa approval rate of 93.4%.

Overall, 3.2% of the population in Kuwait was approved for a visa to visit or travel to Europe for various purposes.

A published report also revealed that almost every 31st applicant who applied from Kuwait was given a positive answer for their application.

On the other hand, every 39th applicant from Qatar received a positive response for the visa. Qatar is the second country on the list of places that were granted the most visas to Europe in 2022.

From the substantial number of applications received from the people of Qatar, 2,556 per 100,000 people were approved.

This indicated that 2.56% of the population in the country was granted permission to enter Europe, and the visa approval rate was revealed to be 86.95%.

Suriname ranks 3rd

The third nationality that had the highest rate of visa approval per 100,000 people was Suriname. The total number of visas issued to the nationals was 2,145.

Consequently, every 46th applicant from Surname was granted a visa to Europe, which translated the visa approval rate to 78.7%.

Overall, 2.15% of the population of Suriname received a positive response for their visa applications.

Other positions

The nationalities that ranked 4th, 5th, and 6th, on the list of the highest number of Schengen visas approved per 100,000 were Cape Verdeans, Armenians, and Emiratis, respectively.

2,097 people from Cape Verde were given a positive response to their visa applications. Meanwhile, 1,933 and 1,489 visas were issued to Armenians and Emiratis, respectively, per every 100,000 people.

Consequently, the share of population from Cape Verde with approved visa applications was 2.1%.

Meanwhile, 1.49% Emiratis received a positive answer on their visa applications and 1.93% of Armenians were offered permission to enter Europe.

This further entailed that the visa approval rate for Emiratis stood at 75.7% and 86.61% for Armenians.

Where the nationals of Cape Verde are concerned, they reported that the Schengen visa approval rate was currently 71.45%.

Overall, every 47th resident of Cape Verde received a visa to Europe, while very 51st resident of Armenia and every 67th Emirati was given a positive response to their visa application.

Additional statistics

Lebanon, Belarus, and Bahrain took the 7th, 8th, and 9th position on the list of nationalities with the highest rate of visas approved during the year.

Overall, 1,456 visa applications for every 100,000 people were approved for the residents of Lebanon.

Meanwhile, Belarusians followed with 1,247 visa applications approved per 100,000 people and Bahrainis reported 1,217 permissions granted per 100,000 nationals.

The overall list consisted of ten nations that reported the highest rate of visa approvals, and Tunisia was the last.

Out of 168,346 visa applications submitted by the Tunisian nationals, 112,411 people revealed that they had received a positive response.

A total of 902 visas were granted per capita, entailing that every 110th Tunisian national was successful in obtaining a visa.
