It was recently reported that train tickets in the country are especially cheap, with their prices being half of what people would have to pay for air travel.
Furthermore, sources have revealed that between the months of January and March, more than 7 million tourists were staying in different accommodations across various regions in the country.
From this number, 1.35 million people were only international visitors.
Both these numbers were higher than the figures that were recorded in the same time period before the coronavirus pandemic, specifically in 2019.
Back then, there were more than 6.7 million tourists in the country, and 1.29 million of these had traveled to Poland from different countries.
Meanwhile, in the month of May, figures further indicated that over 602,000 tourists from foreign countries had come to stay in the country.
This figure included people who were not visiting to stay overnight.
The reported number of foreign tourists in May was a 31% increase when compared to May of last year.
In addition, statistics went on to reveal that back in 2019, tourists from different countries had come to Poland to spend over 18.7 million nights in the various tourist accommodations that it offers.
