The difference between the regions of South and Southeast Asia is all about geography. People from China, Japan, Taiwan, or Mongolia are East Asian. South Asians are those populations who live in Pakistan, India, Nepal, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Maldives, and Bhutan. Similarly, countries located in Southeast Asia are from South China and East India. This region has borders by Oceania and the Pacific Ocean to the east.  Its northern boundary meets by the Bay of Bengal and East Asia, whereas the southern borders are near the Indian Ocean and Australia to the south.

The region has eleven countries. Ranging from eastern India to China, Southeast Asia generally spreads over island and mainland zones. Southeast Asian island zones include Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia, East Timor, and Brunei.

The mainland of the region comprises Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Burma. It is an extension of the continent of Asia. Southeast Asian zone was also home to the sixth out of the top ten metropolises for global tourists’ choice for 2018. Bangkok, Seoul, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Tokyo, and Singapore were names of some cities included in this list.
